A drive through Jasper ahead of a Winter storm, which met us in Edmonton with white out blizzards and -38 temperatures. The windshield on our JEEP took on a couple rock chips, which with the -38 cold, grew to shatters splitting our windshield in two. Not cold temperatures, ice and snow. Not ditch diving with our JEEP, nor Winter chest colds kept me from greeting my audience on opening night! Oh, and what a night it was! Seems appropriate that a show about Canada take place in the midst of true Canadian Winter. I also finally came to understand the true meaning of 'Alberta-tough' as the cold and snow did not keep anyone from coming out and enjoying the night. A wonderful night of conversation, laughs and art, celebrating Canada. The opening may be done, but the show continues on and provides a warm, vibrant and humorous escape from the cold outside. A big thank-you to Visual Arts Alberta, Harcourt House, Chris W. Carson, Sharon Moore-Foster and John R. Maywood. The show runs until January 25th, 2014.
